We're Hiring: Preconstruction Manager in Washington, DC (Hybrid)

We're seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction activities, estimating, project financials, risk management, and client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can help drive successful project acquisition and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preconstruction activities in collaboration with the Project Executive.
\n
• Develop conceptual and progress estimates at various design milestones.
\n
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, evaluate material and mechanical system costs, and prepare accurate estimates.
\n
• Review design documents for completeness, coordination, and alignment with client and architect requirements.
\n
• Define bid package scopes and oversee subcontractor and supplier bidding processes.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
\n
• Manage project financials, assess risks, and support project schedule and cost commitments.
\n
• Represent the company professionally while managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field.
\n
• At least 8 years of estimating experience, preferably focused on mechanical construction projects.
\n
• Strong understanding of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
\n
• Ability to develop conceptual estimates with limited design information.
\n
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related estimating tools.
\n
• Strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
\n
• Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require.
\n
